Creekview faced a must win region opponent and was able to complete the task. Alberto Alvarez started the scoring with only 1:23 seconds into the first half from a corner that pinged around until he finished it. Bryce Goodwyn was able to follow up a shot by slipping the ball past the keeper with 25 minutes left in the first half. Defensively, the team continues to play well as South Cobb was unable to finish with a goal. The second half saw Kyler Padgett sprinting down the side to finish a header. Bryce Goodwyn assisted Kyler’s goal. With 38 seconds left in the match, Kyler was fouled in the box. After an extended waiting period, due to an injured player, Kyler calmly finished the penalty kick into the back of the net. Creekview played much better after Tuesday’s match against Cherokee. Casey Martin, Deke Newbold, Aidan Ferreira, Dylan Stevens, Alberto Alvarez, Alberto Pulido, Daniel Simons, Diego Risco, Daniel Parker, Carter Hummel, Carlos Sanchez, Carlos Carrillo, Lalo Pena, and Parker Baldwin played very well defensively.
