Boys Varsity Wrestling, Varsity Wrestling · Four Grizzlies Compete For Team Georgia in USMC 16U/Junior Nationals!

Fargo is the common name for the largest age group wrestling tournament in the world.  The best male and female wrestlers in the 16U age group and the Junior (17-19) age group from over 40 states meet in Fargo North Dakota to battle for Freestyle and Greco National Championships!  Creekview Grizzlies Cade Sousa(16-u), Mason Botts (Junior), Wyatt Higgins(Junior), and Eli Daugherty(Junior) will all compete for team Georgia and attempt to win a national Championship in their weight classes.  All four grizzlies competed at the Georgia Freestyle/Greco state championships to earn their spots on the national team.  Mason, Cade, and Wyatt then traveled to Wilmington NC to compete at the southeast regional and earn valuable national level experience.   Mason, Wyatt and Eli also traveled to Tulsa Oklahoma to compete for team Georgia in the junior national duals.  All that leads up to Fargo and the opportunity to compete for a podium spot and earn All-American status!  Weight class brackets can have up to 160 competitors as they compete for 8 spots on the podium.   The 16-U age group gets started Sunday while the Juniors start Monday.  Good luck to our Grizzlies and team Georgia!!!!
